Cities are not only made of cement. They are also shaped by the memory and habits of their population as well as by the legacy of their artists. You can explore Montevideo along its avenues and walk through its stories, its legends and, of course, its songs. Through this initiative, we want to highlight the city in which we live as well as its authors and in both cases serve as a gateway.

Montevideo Sonoro is constantly under construction and continues researching, recording and disseminating the city's musical heritage.

Today, in addition to this website, it is an urban intervention, a video library, a book, and a neighborhood walking project.

Montevideo Sonoro was declared of authorial interest by AGADU.
